AAI National Marathon Championships, Mon 26-Oct-2015

The very best of luck to all club members participating in the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon and National Marathon Championships 2015. The training is done and all that remains is to put those personal race plans into practice. As ever, the advice is the same – don’t go off  too fast early on. Settle into a nice sustainable rhythm that doesn’t leave you out of breath. Be aware of the weather conditions. If it’s cold, wet and windy, it’s probably not a good idea to expose too much skin to the elements. It’s a long way around and you won’t want your core temperature to drop too much. Whatever else, do your best and enjoy the event.

Cork AAI County Intermediate & Novice B XC Champs, Carrigadrohid, Sun 18-Oct-2015, 12pm

The venue once again is Carrigadrohid, which successfully hosted the County Senior XC last weekend. So, for location information, please refer to the previous posting. Our dry spell looks like it will continue for another few days at least, so long spikes shouldn’t be needed. The Intermediate races, starting with the ladies, get under way at 12pm followed immediately by the Novice races sometime after 1pm.
