John Buckley Sports Cork City 10 Miler

Hosted by St. Finbarr’s A.C.

Saturday 31st August 2019 @ 6pm

This year’s John Buckley Sports Cork City 10 Miler has a new H.Q. and a course modification which sees the race start on Centre Park Road and finish at Kennedy Park. That’s a similar arrangement to the Echo Woman’s Mini Marathon. Otherwise, the race follows the same route down The Marina along the banks of the river Lee taking in the Lough Mahon Loop along the seashore and returning via the old Blackrock railway line. The course is flat, fast, picturesque and extremely popular with both fun runners and serious runners alike.

GENERAL INFORMATION

If you opted to collect your Number & Top, you can do so on Friday 30th at John Buckley Sports from 9.30am to 6.00pm and also on race day from 9.30am to 1.00pm. Your race number will entitle you to 20% off of any purchase at John Buckley Sports. So, if you were to buy an average priced pair of runners, you’ll receive back the equivalent of your race entry fee.

The City Hall will be open from 3.30pm on race day for Number & Top collection and general inquiries.

Please don’t park anywhere along the race route. See the link below for information on Where To Park.

There will be portable toilets located at the start area.

There’ll be an ambulance and medical staff in attendance.

Tea, Coffee, Sandwiches and CAKE will be available post race at the City Hall.

Prizes will only be given out to the main individual prize winners over the line. All other prize winners will be notified the following day and the prizes posted out.

Diana O’Mahony Jewellers of Winthrop Street, Cork City has very kindly given us 10 x €50 vouchers to give out as spot prizes at race. So, everyone has a chance of winning!
